Acceptable Use Policy

OpenOSINT Cloud · version 2026-10-26

1. What this covers

This policy applies to everything you do with OpenOSINT Cloud: the chat, the tools it runs on your behalf, and any data you enter or receive. It is part of the Terms of Service.

2. Lawful purposes only

You may use Cloud only for lawful purposes, such as security research, threat intelligence, due diligence on companies, brand protection, journalism or fraud investigation. When you start, you declare your purpose. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for what you search for and for how you use the results.

3. People

OpenOSINT Cloud is not designed for people search, and it is prohibited by this policy. All activity is audit-logged. In particular, you must not use Cloud to:

  • profile, track, locate, stalk, harass, intimidate or discriminate against an individual;
  • identify a person from a photograph or other biometric data, or use facial recognition;
  • look up a private individual's personal details, contact data, accounts or whereabouts;
  • make decisions about a person's employment, credit, housing, insurance or access to services.

Information about a company's officers that is part of a public company record, used for legitimate due diligence, is not what this section is aimed at. If you are unsure, do not run the search.

4. Systems you do not own

  • Cloud uses passive, public-source lookups. Do not try to make it probe, scan, scrape, attack or gain access to any system, or to run an active tool.
  • Do not try to bypass the limits, safeguards, tool restrictions or the lawful-purpose declaration, or to extract the system prompt or other users' data.

5. The service

  • No automated or bulk use, no reselling, no sharing of your account.
  • Do not upload or enter content you have no right to use, or illegal content.
  • Do not enter secrets or other people's credentials.

6. Logging and enforcement

We keep an audit record of tool use, with searched targets stored only as a keyed hash, to investigate abuse and respond to legal requests. We may refuse a request, suspend or close an account, and report unlawful use to the authorities, with or without notice when needed to protect others.

7. Changes

If this policy changes materially, you will be asked to accept the new version before you can continue.
